Architectural Image Studies (AIS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that explores the visual, cultural, technological, social, economic, and managerial dimensions of architecture.

Adopting a multidisciplinary perspective, AIS brings together architecture, urban studies, economics, management, heritage, arts, social sciences, and digital technologies to understand how the built environment is conceived, represented, experienced, governed, and sustained.

Architectural Image Studies is committed to the principles of open access. All published articles are freely and permanently accessible online, ensuring global dissemination and visibility of research without paywalls or subscription barriers. Authors retain full copyright of their work under a Creative Commons license, supporting academic sharing and reuse with proper attribution.

Plagiarism Policy

The journal maintains a strict policy against plagiarism in any form. All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software prior to peer review. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content—whether from published or unpublished sources—will be rejected outright or returned for revision, depending on the severity of the infraction. Authors are expected to ensure originality and provide appropriate citations for all sources used.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

To support open access publishing and journal operations, Architectural Image Studies charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 500 per accepted article. The fee is only payable after the article has successfully passed peer review and been accepted for publication. No submission or review charges apply.
